Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
Leta and I only turned up 12 species for the Great Backyard Bird Count this afternoon. We walked along The Glade from Twin Branches Road to west to the first footbridge; this is my usual local patch for birding. The arm of Lake Audubon that is visible from Twin Branches is ice-covered this year, so we picked up only 35 Canada Geese in the distance; no ducks.
