Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
I've still got a ways to go in my filmic education: Jim Emerson presents a list of 102 movies to see "in order to have any sort of informed discussion about movies. They're the common cultural currency of our time, the basic cinematic texts that everyone should know, at minimum, to be somewhat 'movie-literate.'" There's about 20 of them that I haven't seen. Well, I've seen Bambi, but not recently, as it were.

Sanjay Kumar has pleaded guilty to fraud charges. On his watch
at Computer Associates International during 1999-2000, the company
inflated earnings with various dodgy accounting practices and outright
lying.
Of top executives at CA, only former chairman Charles Wang has come out
of this unindicted.
