...And we had our read-through for the one act. Many fewer people to keep track of here. Chuck is directing, Frank K. is producing, Frank C. is designing lights. Cast is Matthew and Rebecca.

Due to scheduling issues, most of our rehearsals will be at Chuck's house in Arlington. We read the play in 22:00 minutes, and I doubt that it will run much longer than that. Chuck did a lot of table work tonight, and we will put it on its feet tomorrow.

Matthew and Rebecca have a challenge ahead of them, to breathe life into this script from 1973. It's a something-bad-happened-in-the-past story. There's no reversal, no surprising revelation. There are a lot of flowers.

As a rule, your car will not achieve the fuel efficiency numbers that the Environmental Protection Agency has posted for it. This discrepancy is due in part to the EPA's methodology, which tests cars on a lab bench, not on the streets. Furthermore, the agency measures emissions (which is what the tests were designed to do) and extrapolates fuel consumption figures. John Gartner reports that the gap between actual mileage and EPA estimates may be even wider for gas-electric hybrid vehicles.
