Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
Rehearsals for Flowers are going great. Rebecca and Matthew are nearly off book, and take direction very well. Chuck tried an improv on them in order to charge up the energy in the "San Francisco" section—he had them playing kids in a toy store: Mom will buy them as much as they want, but they have to agree on the toys.
He also ran them through three or four character choices for the half-page art museum recollection.
Most of my kibitzing dealt with sharpening up the pantomimes: if Matthew puts an iced-tea glass on an invisible table that is 30 inches high, then Rebecca can't five seconds later put a glass on the same table that is only 27 inches high.
