We close Laramie tonight, and, as usual, I'm ready to let go of it. I got three really good shows in last weekend, I'm really happy with what I did with Harry and Fred, and everyone likes my Steven. Heck, I think I've now figured out the timing for his self-deprecating jokes.

I hope that tonight is smoother technically than last night. The booth crew mislaid all the minidisks for the sound plot, so Jim was recreating it from his hard drive and CDs on the fly. Volume levels were, um, spontaneous and creative. What's more, for the first hour and a half we were fighting overflow sound from the ballroom next door: a big band was playing 50s and 60s rock. The spillover sound always sounds worse on stage than in the house, but still.
