Julia Montgomery gets a massage.

marcelino shows up and takes me down the hall to the "treatment room." which turns out to be a hotel room that they've turned into a "treatment room" by removing the bed, putting a massage table in the middle of the room, and putting some candles in strategic locations and a cd player in the corner with some yanniesque crap warbling out of it.

why do they always play that music during massages? that music does not make me feel relaxed. it makes me feel annoyed.

Douglas Levere rephotographs Berenice Abbott's iconic images of New York. Some of the street scenes have altered dramatically (especially in the Financial District), and some hardly at all. A bakery owned by A. Zito's family is still on Bleecker Street, and the bread display in the window is almost unchanged from 1937 to 1998.

The Laserpod looks like fun. I wonder what I did with Santa Claus's fax number. Amit Asaravala reviews it, and notes

...the diffuser turns the Laserpod into a glowing lamp, suitable for display on even your most expensive Ikea end table.
