Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
"Sometimes I wish that I lived the kind of life where I would know where all
the Tiffany's are instead of all the McDonald's."
A research question: how much of the world is closer to a Tiffany & Co.
location than to a McDonald's? For instance, in Chevy Chase, Maryland,
there would be a stretch of Wisconsin Avenue less than a mile long leading
out of the District up toward Bethesda.

Oooh, I gotta get me a set of
these. They're so exquisitely tiki-ticky-tacky. Is my Christmas
shopping list still open, Leta?
