Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
It's last call at the Cicada Lounge. Only a last few straggling adults remain.
Here and there, I see evidence of their larval progeny: "flagging," the withered brown leaves at the end of tree limbs.

A current project at work calls for uploading files (of arbitrary length,
type, and contents) via HTML forms and HTTP to an IIS web server running
VBScript and ASP. My boss tracked down several freeware tools to help us
deal with the POSTed multipart/form-data media type on the server side, and
we ended up going with Free ASP
Upload. It works like a champ; all the source code is there, so it was
easy to hack it slightly to fit our requirements.
PS: The tool comes with a test driver that helps you trouble-shoot the installation environment.
