pedantic nuthatch

I have never been in a production anywhere near as ill-starred as this production of Hamlet. Should I ever see a disaster like this approaching, I hope I have the good sense to run away, to be posted for my day job onsite in Indiana, to break my ankle.

Claudius [Chris Pennock] recalls exchanges by both men not entered in [director Aaron] Mullen's diary.... Curiously, what really sent [Francesco] Vitali [as Hamlet] over the edge was when Mullen called him a "fat loser." That's when Vitali started screaming in Greek, Claudius reports.

But of course, you never see a meltdown like this until it's too late.

"Tinker to Evers to Chance." Leta and I back-and-forthed about the pronounciation of the Cubs' second baseman's name. Popular wisdom sides with EE-vers, but it would seem that the family said EV-ers.
