Clémentine Vignal et al. demonstrate that male Zebra Finches (Taeniopygia guttata) do indeed recognize their mates' "distance calls," and that they respond with their own vocalizations (or don't) depending on social context.

Ideas for play selection committees: the National Theatre's NT2000 canvassing results, which developed a list of the 100 most-nominated English-language plays of the 20th century. The list is somewhat skewed toward U.K. playwrights.
