Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
My mother started feeding me the How and Why
Wonder books when I was about seven years old, that is, when I started
asking questions that she didn't have the answers for, or so she said. I
had only a few: I think I had Light and Color (5040), maybe World War II
(5035), and Dinosaurs (5001), and definitely Mathematics (5018). She
certainly did not give me Ballet (5020): it took me another 30 years to get
to the novice aficionado level in that area.
