Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
Like a batter fooled by an inside pitch, David O. Russell tries to do too much with I [Heart] Huckabees, and hits a a weak grounder to third.
This comedy-drama of the existential crises of four young people variously associated with the Huckabees chain of department stores, instead of leaving us with some insights (or at least something to argue about in the car driving home) rather ends up a muddle.
Good, interesting work by Lily Tomlin, some utterly fearless stuff from Naomi Watts, game but wobbly dialects by Jude Law and Isabelle Huppert don't add up to a worthwhile enterprise.
